You are bidding on a very rare, complete
HARDCOVER
set of the classic
Petersen Publications “Man In Space”
series of books.  They are in good condition.
IMO no serious space book collection is complete without this set.  I have seen individual hardcover books of this set going for close to 0 on the internet.  I am making it available at a very reasonable price.
There are 5 books in the set:
Book 1: The First Small Step – from Robert Goddard’s earliest liquid fueled rockets through Project Mercury, Sputnik 1 and Vostok
Book 2: A New Environment – Project Gemini and Voskhod
Book 3: The Power and the Glory – Project Apollo unmanned tests and the Saturn V, Soyuz and Salyut
Book 4: A Giant Leap for Mankind – Apollos 7 thru 11, the Lunar Module, and Command-Service Module
Book 5: Beyond the Threshold – Apollo2 12 thru 17
All titles are complete (no pages missing).  Books are 8.5” x 11”. The covers show some wear around the edges, and the pages are a little yellowed when seen edge on.  The holder for the books is somewhat beat up, especially at the bottom.  See photos for general condition.  Bear in mind these books were printed in 1974.
