We bought one of these grills and he decided to make these plates out of stainless steel
because,
304 stainless
will not rust away
with obvious holes through the metal and should outlast your grill.
It doesn't matter how
thick
the metal is you would have bring these to the
melting point
f
or them to fail
.
Unlike the porcelain steel, or the 400 series stainless steel from China,
if you put a magnet to them, it would stick. They have more carbon in the metal and will rust thru.
304 stainless steel has much less carbon and will last for years without rusting thru
You can buy ours once or the others over and over again :)
If you want your grill to last you need these, why buy junk and need to replace them again.
