    Description

NASA Space Exposed Tomato Seeds LDEF STS-41C - STS-32
    FLOWN
This is for a pack of Tomato Seeds packaged by PARK SEED
They were flown in space aboard the LDEF (Long Duration Exposure Facility) which was launched on April 6, 1984, on Space Shuttle Challenger STS-41C.
The seeds remained in orbit for over 5 years when the Columbia Shuttle Mission STS32 retrieved them.
The seeds were distributed to schools and colleges where they were grown, their growth measured, and the results reported the NASA.
They produced robust tomatoes and no signs of radiation. This would be a great experiment for school students to observe the growth so seeds that were flown in space for 5 years.
