The body has some local racing history.  This car looks as if it was put together in the 50's. 31 coupe body, 36 ford dash, 35 Chevy truck grille, 40 ford wheels, new vintage tires, 48 Mercury chassis with all new brakes, cylinders, lines, hoses, wrapped rear spring, shackles, 62 Austin Healy seats with WWII bomber belts. 50 Ford radiator, newly rebuilt 39 three-speed trans with hydraulic clutch. Completely rebuilt 1950 8BA 24 stud flathead: 60 over, Ross pistons, new bearings and rings. Isky max 1-B cam with Johnson adjustable lifters. Edmunds aluminum heads and Offenhauser dual 2bbl intake. Rebuilt 94 carbs. Speedway ceramic coated water pumps, Speedway headers, Smithy's mufflers. 12 volt generator with Pertronix electronic ignition and coil. Over 10k into motor, trans and rear alone.
